As with electric guitar adapting to this style has proven more successful by either having a spell learning classical guitar or by listening and having a good appreciation of rock and pop music.
A clear love and enthusiasm for this style is especially important as the lessons demand well-honed left-hand technique for which classical guitar training is an advantage.
With a wide range of styles, we use both Trinity College Rock & Pop and Rockschool syllabus material which is graded up to Grade 8 as well as a wealth of exciting resources gathered over many years of teaching this instrument.
Students will learn the importance of playing in time by way of backing tracks which can be slowed down to suit each individual’s requirements to assist with progress. Customised tracks are created specifically for the student as part of the service.
This is an exciting instrument which can challenge a solo player or band member to their full ability.
